C-T 10 26 17 - The Livingston County Salary Commission met Tuesday,
October 24, 2017, in the office of the Livingston County Commissioners. The Salary Commission is charged with meeting in every odd-numbered year to determine salaries for elected county officials and to consider other
compensation-related issues. The Salary Commission voted that the elected officials of Livingston County shall receive a percent equal to the cost of living adjustment given to by the county commission to the employees of Livingston County. The Salary Commission adjourned for 2017.

Southwest Livingston County R-1 students gathered in the associate courtroom of the Livingston County Courthouse in Chillicothe
on March 1, 2017, for student government day. While there, the students heard from county office holders and other county government employees. Among those addressing the students was Mark Shockey,
former Livingston County zoning officer and chief field appraiser. He gave the students a presentation describing his role in county government, the importance of it, and how it coincides with the rest of the departments in the Livingston County. |
